I got a small spot or orange enamel paint on my leather flight jacket when I was in the military...22 years ago. It's still there. It has worn away a little.

Good luck. Try asking your dry cleaners if no one here can help.

The secret is to act quickly whilst the paint is still wet. Remove the excess using a knife or wallpaper scraper, taking care not to scratch the surface, and work from the outside in to avoid spreading it further. Once the bulk is removed, mop up the rest with a cloth or paper towel, again working from the outside. Finally, clean the area with Leather Shampoo.

It is tricky once the paint is dry. If it won’t come off with LTT Maxi Cleaner, then I’m afraid there’s nothing you can safely use without damaging the leather. Don’t be tempted to use brush cleaner, white spirit, turps or nail varnish remover as these are likely to damage the leather finish and make final repairs difficult or impossible. Instead, leave it to the professionals who should be able to reduce the paint stain and colour over any residues. It may also be a good idea to contact your insurance company.

If it is suede leather, use a pencil eraser. if slick leather, use saddle soap get wet and foamy let sit for a minute then rub with a dry rag it should rub off then with your fingernail or rag, may have to do it a couple of times, if the paint is thick ,like a drip, it may just peel off but do it slowly,, good luck.. Leather is my thing so if that doesn't;t work, let me know we'll figure out something, people tend to treat leather with kid gloves, but it is tougher than we all think, if paint peels off the color, rub a small dab of matching shoe polish on the light spot to blend it back in...

The best leather cleaner I've found is Murphy's Oil Soap. Once I got grease all over a suede leather jacket, and it came out after rubbing the jacket with it.

Cut a strip off your builder and stitch it over the spill?
