I would rather someone be honest with me, however, being honest does not necessary make one cry. Unless of course the other individual is selfish and not considering your feelings in their actions prior to the act. A lie is a lie, I cannot smile because of a lie, a lie is always found out... That would be hurtful. I expect honesty in all relationships, and that is what I give. If you respect and love or care for someone you consider the other individual before doing something that will cause them pain... Honesty allows me to know you respect me as a human being... I'd rather someone be honest with me everytime, crying is only temporary once you work through it but lying isn't...
It may be hard to hear at first if its something bad but I would rather work on someones honest comments to me than have them lie and pretend everything is ok and then it blows up later.

I would rather someone be honest with me and make me cry cause sooner or later you are probably going to find out they lied and your smile wont be there then either

If they lie to you and make you smile all the time, it will come even harder when they are honest and make you cry.
At least, if you can believe them when they are finally honest.
You know the story of the boy who always cried "wolf"....

Honest and make me cry. I can get over that. The lying is harder to get over once you realize it's all a crock of sh*t.
