well the problem with the people saying that the female is not to blame is that they are all females saying this. do you even know how testosterone work within a mans body? whether you like it or not hormones can overpower rational thinking in a man. but youre a woman so i dont expect you to understand that.

Shivers, yes they are actually. Not asking for rape but anticipation of a hook up and the outlook of sex is always at the back of their minds.

The only people to blame are the men who rape them.

Rape isn't a sexual crime-it's a power trip for a disturbed mind. Therefore skimpy clothing really have nothing to do with rape. And should you be trying to distinguish date rape from rape, it's still a power trip for the disturbed mind because sex should be a willing encounter on both parties part. How looney do you have to be to not understand the difference between yes and no? There are simply too many people who say yes, to demand sex from someone who says no. That's rape and it's not about sex. I just can't control myself because your clothing is so skimpy is a line of cr*p. Better go get some help because your head is screwed on wrong. . .

If a man is at the beach just wearing boardies and looking hot, do women have the right to rape him?
Are men who do this- asking for it?
Didn't think so.
We just got more self control than those idiots who use blaming the victim as an excuse for their own patheticness.
Edit~ Perhaps it's in the back of their minds, but if a guy was sexually attacked by another guy & it was unwanted, did the first guy deserve everything he got?

If your parents did not teach you self control, then I would say that they are as much at fault as the woman who dresses provocatively. And the fashion industry and retailers, which are the market forces that control the clothing options available for purchase....are you going to blame them too? Is there anyone else you can blame to avoid any personal responsibility in this matter?
If we are to agree that testosterone is so powerful that men have no control over their behavior when they begin to be sexually aroused, then its simply not safe to allow men to walk freely about. They must be restrained. Would you prefer a chastity belt or house arrest?
Do you see how ****ing absurd that is? You do have control over yourself ( I hope) so stop blaming rape victims and put the blame where it belongs, on the perp who violated another person in the most severe manner possible.

No, our sexually repressed society is too blame. It frustrates you to see sex sex sex around every corner and not really be getting any yourself. Or you could just be mentally impaired, your prefrontal cortex may be underdeveloped, which is also a byproduct of sexual repression and shame, your mother may have not nurtured you because she feared being sexually aroused during feeding you, so she denied you the boob.
Mothers milk necessitates the development of neuro pathways in a growing babies brain.
If you are underdeveloped you may have been fighting off the urge to rape or kill. It sounds like you might have morality issues, where you think it's wrong for a women to express herself sexually and it makes you angry because you cannot express yourself in this manner, you are envious not righteous. I would recommend changing your attitude as quick as possible. The overtly sexual female could also be reflecting the same sickness in a different way. Learn some tolerance, after all - it was men who created the sexual repressed state that we now live in, through religion and shame. There are many perversions of sex in modern society and I don't think they're going to dissapear anytime soon, so try to get the most out of it for yourself. Start wearing womens panties for awhile and see if you feel any better. Or hire Helga to beat you senseless, I think you need it. It's common knowledge now that many psycopaths are rigid moralists, there's a reason for this.

As a woman I think there is "sexy" in mystery. If you look like a sl_t you will be treated as such, however, rapist and pedophiles do not see what you wear or how you look. Their feeding a need to dominate, abuse, inflict a sick twisted pain to a "weaker" individual. For the most part. This date rape crap that's out today I think is people (men/women alike) just trying to fulfill their need for necrophilia. And that's as sick as the rapist and pedophiles in my book. But to answer your question..."Yes an No" I would say it depends on where she goes while dressed in this fashion. Stay home with your man to roll-play and some jerk is watching that you are unaware of, No not her fault. Dress like a sl_t and parade yourself in front of a prison, Most likely her fault. Carry your scarcely clad body to the wrong side of town....Yes, she was asking for it.

Obviously noone deserves to be raped regardless of what they wear and women should choose to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. I am not condoning sexual assault in any way, but just wanted to share my views on the topic.
I think it is important to consider the impact the way you dress can have on the views of people around you. Say that a woman chooses to wear jeans & a low cut top to a sophisticated interview with a law firm. She is well-qualified and performs flawlessly in the interview, but is unlikely to get the job due to her unprofessional attire. Before she even had the chance to open her mouth, the interviewing panel had decided what sort of employee she would be based solely on the physical image she was projecting to the world. Similarly, a woman who wears very skimpy clothing is projecting a visual image based on sex. Personally, she might be totally uninterested in having sex that night, but her choice in clothing contradicts this. As a guy once told me, 'dress for what you want to attract'. How true.

A woman can be raped no matter what she wears. Wearing skimpy clothing isn't always the best idea, but it contributes very little to rape.

Women shouldn't be blamed for their clothing but for their behavior - if that contributes in any way. Usually clothing is indicative of some type of behavior that an individual espouses or at least condones, so it could argued that in roundabout way clothes are indicated in the blame or cause of whatever the end result turns out to be. Unfortunately, public opinion is simplistic so if you're dressed trampy then alot of people are going say you had it coming.

Rapists are predators. Skimpy clothing catches the eye of any person that happens to walk by. You wear the wrong thing, and are at the wrong place, at the wrong time, chances are, you are going to walk past one of these predators. After that it really does not matter what clothes you wear. ( But skimpy clothes just happen to make you stand out from the rest.)

NO. It's a crude and completely illogical argument. It implies that men cannot be held responsible for their actions, and I find that insulting. I am not a brainless robot that spring a hard-on the minute I see a gorgeous piece of exposed thigh or whatever, even though some people manage to believe that not doing so is abnormal.
