best strategy is to play smallball. tempo should be fast. it's not a sure-fire way to beat the spurs since the spurs have the speed to keep up. the spurs even have the tools to beat the suns in an uptempo game. and if the shots aren't falling, expect the spurs big men to gobble up the rebounds.

but if they choose the alternative, to play half-court against the spurs, they're good as toast. they simply don't have the personnel to stop duncan down low. and amare isn't imposing enough to command a double team everytime.

they're better off playing to their strengths.

The Suns are more matured right now. I think, they learned a lot from last year's playoffs debacle of Diaw and Amare'. Pray that no injuries that will come in Phoenix way. And surely, they will kick spurs butts come playoff time!!! :)

if it comes down to these two again, phoenix just needs to do what it did last year - try to dictate its own pace, rotate defenders around duncan and wear him down, and keep a good rotation on perimeter shooters who will try to beat them when parker and duncan draw guys in to the paint.

the only difference this year is they can't get frustrated and allow a couple of their guys to get suspended in those critical games. grant hill addition is a huge plus, he will help bring more experience to this team ala mike finley for the spurs. i like the suns chances this year, but they also need to watch out for the other teams in the west - there are a lot of good ones.

Keep crying that they didn't win; complain that the refs, the NBA, and the whole world have a conspiracy against them; and then give them a championship out of pity. And then tell people how exciting they are even though they cannot win consistently in the playoffs.

Shoot 55% from the field, or hope T Duncan gets hurt.
Duncan rarely gets in foul trouble, so I would not count on that.
