I personally think its a waste of time, you may as well be sleeping. Its a scientific fact that the most relaxing thing to do is sleep. If you have sleeping problems I suppose it could be a viable option for relaxation. I personally would rather do something fun and meaningful. Meditating also comes with the risk of being labelled a hippy.

It has been proved scientifically that meditation helps in relaxation and stress reduction/control apart from other benefits like greater concentration/focus,emotional control etc.If possible, one should learn it from a qualified teacher and then modify it to suite his/her requirements.Non religious meditation is more wholesome in personality development as one is free from the unrelated dos/don'ts.

Definitely, meditating helps alot.

I also do meditation in the morning and very much satisfied with its result.
It helps you to stay relax, cool and most of all heals our mind as well as our soul.

Personally, I would suggest you to go for it without wasting any time.

Hope you will get similar results.

Good luck!
