I say the same thing as everyone else, yes it sounds like your labour has started and that your baby might be back to back, my son was back to back when i was in labour and it was such a horrible, unbearable pain when it got to the last few hours, which eventually ended in an emergency c section, I would call your midwife, and definatley think about an epidural lol! Good Luck!!!

I had back labour and they didn't pick it up on the monitor gave me some paracetamol and told me to get rest(i was in hospital cause my water broke at 36 weeks) I tried to rest then i asked them to check me again as it was a little painful. The doc came and said oh you 5cm dilated best get you to labour suite!! I found it OK if i pushed till the end of the contraction if i stopped early it was like a sledge hammer in my back! I think your baby's coming to say hi xx

YES! You are in labor. I didn't know I was in labor because I only had back pains and not in the stomach, but I had the baby 10 hours after my back pains started. Get to the hospital or call your doctor NOW! Good luck and God Bless you and your new one!

I personally didn't have any back pain. But going by people that have had back pain it's all in your back and none in your stomach. When you get these pains feel your stomach and see if it's contracting. If so then my guess is you're in labor. And going by how over due you are, most likely. Good luck.

your baby is taken its time... but its defo on the way.
back pain is horrible you get alot of it at the start of labour.
one trick i learnt was leaning on the side of a bed or chair etc whilst you stand so that your babys weight is all into your belly and not on your back even been on all fours. this helps but might bring the pain to the front. i found the front pain more bearable.
good luck your on your way
