Knightfall was better.
Civil war started out to be very promising and the art was impecable, but halfway through it I was already able to predict that someone had to die in the end and that it would most likely be Captain America - and I was right.
Other than that, you have to take into account the fact that the Civil War took characters out of character just to fit the mold required to "choose-sides." No freakin way would Tony Stark - in the very first place - go up against Cap. Hawkeye maybe, but not Iron Man. And no way is Cap that blood-thirsty. In this series Marvel forces people to take sides without taking into account the gray area that these heroes regularly walk.

Civil War was a lot better than Knightfall, it invovled almost everyone in the Marvel Universe, and they had to choose sides, it wasnt really like any other series, in any other series you would have the bad guys against the good guys, this one was good guys vs good guys, and really changed the whole Marvel Universe in the process, and killing off Captain America was just an unbelivable ending to the whole thing. Knightfall was good, but I really don't like bringing in Azreal to take over as Batman, my favorite Batman series was Hush

Civil War is better. It involved most of the heroes in Marvel and there were some of them that were killed off.
