One key may "malfunction", but not all of them. Best guess, your PC is infected with malware.

Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your laptop and follow ALL the installation instructions and Recovery “How To's” to the letter.

Still Stuck? Call the manufacturer for tech support.

What make is the laptop? Also what os are you using? If this has only just started to happen, open un-install program and select view installed updates. Have a look to see if there has been a driver update recently for your keyboard. There's a good chance it could be this. If you find one back up your pc then un-install/roll back driver. Then reboot for changes to take effect. I don't think it's likely to be a loose cable connection, though I wouldn't rule it out. But in my oppinion it's more likely a driver issue. If this doesn't work, go to your manufactures website and look for driver updates for you laptop. It may also be that an update is conflicting in some way with you keyboard driver. In which case google for an updated driver. Back up first before installing.
