Possibly, go to your GP asap. Sounds too heavy to be implantation bleeding. There will be nothing they can do if you are but they should check you over incase!

I had the same problems as you. I rang my doctors surgery and went into see them. If you are in the UK I would suggest you do the same, they will then refer you to your nearest EPU (Early pregnancy Unit) Here they will do an ultrasound to have a look at whats causing the bleeding. Please try not to worry too much, bleeding actually occurs in 30% of pregnancy in the first 12 weeks and does not always mean miscarriage. I had my scan done and they told me I was 6 weeks pregnant with twins and they showed me the heartbeats, they said one of the twins was lower and alot smaller so that may cause the bleed. This morning I have gone back for another scan as I have been bleeding every other day for the last week. The twins still have strong heart beats and they are growing fine. Contact your doctors and take it from there, dont sit around waiting because it will do your head in - I know how that feels! Best of luck to you hun xx

I wouldnt worry, lots of pregnant women have this, I had a spot of bleeding around the same time as you, I have got this info from the web which I found useful!:
"In early pregnancy, you might get some light bleeding, called spotting, when the foetus plants itself into the wall of your womb. This is also sometimes known as implantation bleeding, and often happens around the time that your first period after conception would have been due.!"

I hope this help and please dont worry just make sure you take plenty of rest and dont worry too much. If you are still worried then go and see your dr they are more than helpful.

no change as in there is still bleeding?? unfortuntly the bleeding is red and is followed by cramping, so I think you may be going through a miscarriage, you should deffiently head off to the doc or the hospital to double check on that because im not a nurse or doctor better safe then sorry. I hope that everything works out for the best tho

Heavy bleeding and cramping at 5 weeks could mean an early miscarriage. These are definately warning signs and you'll need to get them checked out by your doctor.

You should always see a doctor immediately if you bleed during pregnancy. I'm afraid this could be a sign of miscarriage but there is also a chance you could continue to grow a healthy Baby. See your doctor right now. I wish you all the best xXx

This happend to me at 6 weeks pregnant last year, i went to the hopsital, doctor took a blood test, then another 48 hours later to see if my pregnancy homone levels had dropped. They had, i was having a miscarrige. He advised i did a pregnancy test two weeks after to make sure my body wasn't holding onto anything. Two weeks later the pregnancy test came up negative.
But every one is different you may be ok, best to see a doctor.

forget nhs direct and go to the docs, red blood is not a good sign. at 5 weeks a scan won't be able to pick up a heart beat either this is detected at 6 weeks. be on the safe side and go to the docs. it doesn't sound good to me. i had a miscarriage last year. hope you are OK.

it sounds like a miscarriage to me. anything more than light spotting is not normal and should be checked by your doctor. it is very common to have a miscarriage this early in pregnancy, just go to the doctor as soon as you can and they'll take some blood and probably have you come back a few days later to check blood again.

That is exactly how my miscarriage happened. At first it was just spotting, then about an hour later bright red blood. I went to the ER and they said that I was having a miscarriage.
