is there such thing as having too much Watts for your computer? i have a Antec 350Watt powersupply and i need to upgrade to 450Watts to use the X1950 ATI radeon video card. I just dont want my computer to up in smoke.

High capacity power supplies actually run cooler and provide plenty of room for upgrades. They will always deliver ONLY what the PC needs, nothing more. It is the small capacity power supply that runs hot that could smoke out your PC.

No. As long as you're buying a good quality PSU, it's only going to be putting out power to whatever you have it hooked up to. Extra power won't hurt, and is a good idea actually, in case you upgrade or add more components later.

i think the 450 watt will be okay for your computer. Its always better to have enough than not enough. When you don't have enough power it causes the power supply to work harder. The 450 should be perfect and your computer i will be fine.

not really, in fact its better if you have more power for your computer. it needs power to run and process anything. so a low power not enough for the computer will typically lead to damaged hardware.

450W power Supply is enough for ur graphic card.... don't need to do so...
