No, Ahem, Storm, (god that Claudio is minging!) Oldfield I think they said, went to the reception to ask for the police to be called at 22.10hrs.. but records show 22.40hrs. That's dodgey, by any stretch of the imagination. And we all know how goog imaginations are around here... ahem!

No, I don't as I have told your friend, ahem, sparklyarhse. They would be bound to want to look round the premises themselves, before making the call, thinking she had wandered off.
Don't forget, if the McCanns thought the place was so safe, so would the staff at reception.

What Jack H says. Bottom line - Kate was CERTAIN she had been abducted. So why did she spend all her time randomly calling out for Madeleine instead of phoning up the police directly and getting them straight out there??

I don't. I read that while Madeleine's parents & their friends & practically the entire Ocean Club resort staff were busy searching the rooms & premises of the resort, the Manager of the Ocean Club Resort who promised to phone the Police Authorities immediately completely forgot about it in the panic & chaos of the situation.

He himself admitted it & also stated that at that time most of the staff were pretty sure of finding little Madeleline sleeping soundly under one of the bushes in the resort compound.

No sinister ulterior motive...just the cold, stark panic of the situtaion which should be understandable...

I find this entire saga suspicious. No matter whether the parents are guilty or not, is that Tanner woman involved or not, did the police do their job properly or not. My guess is something is going on here, which non of us suspects and we will never get an answer.

No, it would take time to double-check and make sure she's not in the apartment, tell everyone to start looking, and look one last time before calling.

Having the police round, looking for a missing child, is bad PR for a holiday resort. That is prob why they didn't ring until it became absolutely necessary to do so.

Why not ring the Ocean Club Resort and ask them. They would know better than anybody on here.

Because they knew Murat's girlfriend needed time to get away with the child and as one of the resorts employees (Murats Girlfriends Ex) was involved they wanted to assist one of their own.
