Well funny you should ask coz 4 about a week my milk and food in the fridge stayed warm. Turns out the light stayed on.

Have you ever touched a bulb that's been on an hour they are hot right. Which means that if the light stays on your food won't chill.

So that's how to tell if your lights goin off.

Will put a microphone in the fridge and get back to you on the second query

About the lights - i think if you open the door really fast u can tell - or maybe slowly close the door and look inside....

about the food socializing - hmm... naah that idea never really came to me - but now that i think of it I wonder if the long beef pieces ever try to talk with the tacos and the melons.

The light does go off. I used to build refrigeration units in Dublin for a living.

No as there is a little button the door presses as it closes turning the light off! The food doe's hold confrences with each other though and the main topic in my fridge is about them forming a trade union!

There is a switch the door hits that turns the light off.

the switch of the light is so placed that as long as the door is open it will be pressed and give current to the bulb that glows in turn but the moment the door is closed the switch is released and no current will go to bulb and no light will be there. Foods actually do not talk to one another since they are not living beings and donot have brains either so the quetion of communication is not there
