Statistics created by a statictician do not lie, they only reflect the data included by the one creating the statistics. Can't be trusted.

I am a statistician and I know this is true. The numbers never lie. they are what they are. the statistician can manipulate the numbers to provide a result that is more favorable for a company or research group. This is highly unethical and something I will never do. There are many different methods for manipulating data sets and some of these methods are very good. I'm glad I know how to do this because it helps me to identify when someone else as messed with the data sets.
the statistician can choose different tests, different estimators and different sampling methods all to provide different results. a good statistician will verify the assumptions of the tests are met and then report the findings, whether the findings are favorable or not.

I once heard a man explain by reasonable means that he could prove that men "statistically" have more babies than women.
And he did that using the statistics of Harvard University. We know it's a lie, but he proved it true by statistics!
That's the best explanation I could have for you.

Statistic are based on the way you obtain your information. If the way you obtain your information does not provide a way to truly obtain the accurate result, then the statistics are false. Any test can be altered to achieve the desired results and that would be the fault of the statistician.

Figures don't lie, but liars figure. A statician can often juggle figures to make them look the way he wants them to look.
