The heating won't affect the shower, but the recent cold weather will, you need to turn up the thermostat, if it is a low output (7.5kw), it will struggle to give a seriously warm shower anyway.

If it has only been recently, then it is probably because we are going through a little cold spell weather wise. I've had to turn my shower up. An electric shower, heats COLD water. The cold water is slightly colder at the moment. The central heating will have no bearing on your shower temperature.

If this has been going on for some time, then you probably do need someone to come and look at it. Try the manufacturers (of the shower) website to find local engineers.

Either the water-flow has been increased and the water is passing through too quickly to be warmed sufficiently, or the heating element is on its way out.

Either way, get it checked out by a specialist - either a plumber or the electricity board (or whatever the company you have calls itself these days); both should know about electric showers.

Your shower might have a high/winter & low/summer setting, in the winter usually both elements are used to heat the water so it could be that one of them isnt working, and will have to be replaced, or a new shower purchased. As previous replies said having you heating on will not make any difference

Central heat doesn't affect the shower. How old is the unit and sometimes if there is too much water pressure it will run cooler because the water doe not have time to heat up inside.

Well no, as I live in East England, so basically one of the warmest parts of England, so it's really not too cold yet, but we did have fire in our fireplace yesterday, which was very nice. Will probably turn on heating in about a month or soon and definitely wear warmer clothes in the meantime x

The heating shouldn't make an iota of difference. I suspect you ned an electrician to check out the shower unit - sorry.

Nothing to do with the central heating!
Could be the pipes are blocked, you need an electronically minded plumber

Turn the water pressure down. There should be a stopcock/valve in the mains supply to the shower.

Sounds like you need a new shower unit.
