Because Libertarians view big coorporations and organizations are corrupt. Although, the UN is biased and has its own problems, it does its best to fix world problems. America CANNOT play the police and monitor the whole world. Although some may disagree, UN and other organizations that were created to tackle global problems are needed but it just needs some reform.

Because institution aiming worldwide interest are not necessarily compatible with the US agenda of making its business prosper through the world. These institutions point to countries in need of help, sometime not able to "pay back", and for some reasons, the republicans don't like to help when it does not help themselves. If libertarians ran the planet, they would not be any government in place ! Much less institutions like NAFTA or UN !

Libertarian believe in absolute free trade so oppose trade agreement that give special treatment to certain countries. Most Republicans supported NAFTA, and those that opposed it, did so for a variety of reasons.
Libertarians and many republicans believe we should not surrender our sovereignty to international organizations. Some republican just complain the UN is corrupt.

Both UN and NAFTA represent foreign entitlement programs which curtail the free-market performance of 'normal' business cycles and business principles. But the two are not alone, lets also include NATO, IMF, WB.
United Nations- represents the potential of taxation without representation. Has essentially outlived it's usefulness. Has proven time and time again to represent the abuses all governement entities succomb to which are: corruption, waste, self-aggrandisement, self-interest and promotion etc. Needless suffering and death of American citizens in foreign wars. Bribery and usury of even basic support of food and medicine is rampant in UN programs.
NAFTA- Abuse of eminent domain. Abuse of US citizens and sovereign states for the sole purpose of enabling and enriching foreign countries. Taxation without representation ie foreigners taxing Americans. Enabling illegal immigrant movement. Disregard for laws which hamper US truckers and other businesses to the enrichment and facility of foreigners. Furtherance of an agenda to negate sovereignty of citizens and of our economy by merging the US dollar with the PESO.
There is so much evidence of the dire near-bankrupt condition of our economy that to attempt to explain it here is impossible. It's everywhere around you. We can no longer afford to do anything but stop global spending and return our attention to America, the 50 states (the few territories) and it's citizens.
The same logic applies to our need to seriously revamp our domestic policies and stop federal waste and through disfunctional and overbloated entitlement programs.

Yes, the UN does need reform and part of that reform has to be the member nations pay their fair share. No longer will the US prop up that institution.
All the crappy trade agreements need to go byebye. And all trade between Red China and the USA needs to be halted. The agreements have done nothing but unleash a flood of needed US jobs to overseas. A corporation that wants to send a job overseas should be required to pay a $500,000.00 per head tax with no exemptions.

Actually the Republican party is in support of NAFTA because it brings in cheap labor and takes away power from the individual citizen in America.
In fact, Clinton was pressured into signing NAFTA by the Republican lead Congress under the guise that they would stop stone walling his policies that he wanted to get passed. He threatened to veto the NAFTA bill, but was warned by Republican leaders that doing so would endanger the minimum wage increase and FMLA.

merely because of the fact some nut adheres to a libertarian ideology would not recommend all or according to probability countless libertarians share his mentally challenged perspectives with regard to the UN and them invading the US. in my opinion he replaced into probable a plant or not less than somebody they hand picked to tarnish libertarians. Piers Morgan needless to say has a political schedule, particularly as of previous due and much greater particularly bearing directly to weapons. i don't provide him any credibility (Morgan).
