Get yourself some sexy underwear and he'll enjoy that as his gift too!
You're right though.. men are more difficult to buy for.
Does he have hobbies? Interests?
To behonest, from what you've already said, you've got him stuff to open, DVDs and CDs - I'm sure he'll be happy with that lot.
Socks, toothbrush, aftershave - also great stocking fillers...
Enjoy the festive season, it's the thought that counts!

Sweetie, don't fret. Y'know there can not, not, NOT be a one-size-fits-all present. So don't worry if you don't get him the same thing as other girls get their boyfriends. Giving a gift is not the kind of activity that improves with communal approval. He is your boyfriend, so you will have the best idea what he'd like. And if he requires the *best* present ever to remain your boyfriend, are you sure you want him as a boyfriend? Don't fall into that "What can I do for him" trap.
Now that I've chided you for your approach, here's a suggestion that works well: Think of a common, everyday thing that he might get for himself, then find a boutique kind of that item. For example, if he buys coffee at the grocery store, find him a boutique-type coffee.
You'll get some suggestions here. That'll help you. But don't stress too much.

Well u forgot to say how old u are and ur boyfriend. If u are old enough treat yourself to some saucy underwear, plan some time together, light some candles, get some chocolate and some of his favourite food, buy him something u would like to see him wear and some nice aftershave. Above all just spend some quality time together relaxing and doing things u both like.
Look at what he likes to do, if he has a hobby buy him something relating to that ie golf u could buy him a ball cleaner, some tees, golf gloves etc. If football what about a nice mug or calendar of his favourite team.
Chocolates always go down well if they like chocolates above all its not what u buy its the thought that counts.

'bionic legs' - £200, can jump 7 feet in the air, or stride 10 feet. That's what I want, anyway. I think they sell them at iwantoneofthose.com - it's a great site for xmas ideas
