A easy way to rememeber this is:

<------------------------>
(Don't this looks like 2 arrow pointing in different direction)

The one moving forward (the rigth one) means greater because its moving forward....

than, and the one moving back (left one) is less than because its moving back...

< is less than

> is greater than

You say Jewish Women > Bottled Blondes.

Think of it this way. Think of the little symbol as a munching open mouth. The open mouth points (and eats =P) to the thing that is greater. If you want to say something is greater than something, point the mouth muncher to the greater thing.

e.g. 5 > 4

It is the second one. I think of it like this. The bigger part of the symbol (the open part) is on the same side as the bigger thing.

The smaller part of the symbol (the tip) is on the same side as the smaller thing.

You can also revert the order of the things if you revert the symbol. So 3 > 2 and 2 < 3 mean the same thing (and are both correct), although the first one is read as "3 is greater than 2" and the second one as "2 is less than 3"

> is the same if you bend your right arm to form the same shape using the right hand. The right hand means greater than
< bend your left arm with your hand at your waist this will form the same symbol with your left hands. The left forming the symbol means less than

Hope that helps...so the correct one would be:
Jewish Women > Bottled Blondes

It would be the second one.

I recall a teacher saying to us when young that the alligator mouth > opens towards the larger thing or something like that.

so

9 > 5 - 9 is greater than 5

25 > 10

this is very easy.
< symbol do you see the L in it that is kind of turned clockwise to like the 3:00 hand? (L stands for less than)

that is how I have always, so the second one, JW > BB is correct
