Hello. I have a 94 camaro Z28 5.7 L and i recently discovered my oil fill neck where the cap screws on is very loose it just comes right off!. Is this bad for my car? could this be giving it a low oil pressure? Thanks :D

mine pulls right out.. i beleive the neck is on a short hose that fits over the valve cover. it should have a clamp on it, if not put a clamp on it and tighten it up.

Motor oil after use is always hot! The loss of a few ounces of oil will NOT impact that engine short term. Whenever you buy an item with a new engine (cars too), it is always a good idea to change the oil shortly after initially running it. For cars that's maybe 500 miles. A lawnmower, maybe after 2-3 hours of operation? Why? Any bits of metal residue left in the engine while it was being built and/or assembled will be flushed out when you change it. After that kind of investment, a few dollars for new oil/oil change is a good idea.

The oil cap fits onto an extension pipe to the valve cover and there should be a rubber gasket from that pipe to the valve cover, If it's missing, the pipe will be loose. Install a new gasket to tighten it up....a Chev dealer should have it.

oh man, you better believe it. low pressure as well as possible leaking. get a new plug in there.
