In my opinion no one is actually being right or wrong in this 'true love' issue... Because first of all, it depends on each person, and also everyone has different level of maturity...
It is possible for a 12 year old to truly love someone, but he/she might have a problem in expressing their love...
Same goes for an elderly person that haven't found true love in his/her life... ^_^

Well I think both beliefs are right (All the time I hear "True love owns no age limit" but then I hear everyone telling teenagers that they can't be in love because they are "too young".)
I think if you get in love with someone at a very young age and it last forever or at least 'till you die then this is true love. But love is a big word because love is respect, comunication, fidelity, freedom, understanding, patience, responsibility, the acceptance of the flaws of the other and a lot of things that teenagers don't understand, they don't understand that TRUE love is more than feel butterflies in the stomach and the desire of have sex with the partner but if they really understand the real meaning of love it will last forever.

True love is like a ghost, everyone talks about it but few have actually seen it. But i my friend have seen it, i've seen it come from myself. True Love is real, it is true to those who believe it. True love is something you do by choice, not something you "fall into." You are exactly as much in love with someone as you work at. Love is when, by your own free will, you seek all the very best for someone, and seek to give and contribute into that life as much as you can. The only way for love to last a lifetime is for you to make it work, one day (sometimes one moment) at a time. Love is not magic; you have to work at it. You decide if it lasts, and it can. But you may not understand that, Love is not supposed to be understood, its like a language spoken by everyone, but understood only by your heart. I hope that you do find it one day, it might not seem real now, but then you've never had a gf.

True love DOES exist however, I think, that the meaning of true love is that you will never wish your heart upon anyone else....."Too young" well, that's because the adults in your life have experienced youth. They have come out telling you just how it feels to be on the other side of life,
Listen carefully, we know what we are talking about.
Good Luck with your "Love"

people say that because most teens think they found true love, when it's actually not, it's just puppy love. You can't have true love unless you are able to give someone everything you have in you. and at 16, that's not a lot. I'm not saying it's not possible though.

people just say that if you're a teenager its not love. that's probably because young people are percieved as being stupid. i don't agree with people who say that...but i do think that it takes a while to know when you have true love. 12 quite young but it could be possible

Teenagers have no experience abt the life..they are in first step in their life steps..so they cant consider which one is right and which one is wrong..so they dont able to know the right person..thats y everyone telling teenagers that they can't be in love.

You don't know what love is until you truly know yourself. That's not possible at the age of 12
