Yeah, very much alive and kicking. But they sold out their PC business to Lenovo. IBM processors power most gaming consoles. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM

yes, they suck with computers, but they makes chips. and partner with microsoft with xbox and other big projects. still greaet company and going strong!
