Can you use the word 'incisive' in a sentence? I know the definitions, but nothing good seems to come to mind!
Thanks!

I know that word in the definitive,
the asker said in the inquisitive.
There must be a reason for it's use,
but the answer seems so obtuse.
Although this writer is most incisive.

Hi Shelby. If I knew what the topic is it would make my answer for you more direct. It is fine to use incisive in a sentence as long as your sentence has a strong structure. One passion of mind is collecting old dictionaries and taking simple words and keep composing the meanings as far as that one word can take me. Here is what I came up with for your word. Incisive: The incisive command stopped the dog in its tracks: keen, sharp, crisp, acute, express and summary. 2) Will Rogers was known for his incisive humor: penetrating analytic, precise, shrewd, perceptive, probing and sharp. So, here are some examples plus food for thought. I hope this has helped you out. Good luck on your homework and a Blessed Thanksgiving to you and your family. Take care.
