i graduate in 2009 with a Pharm D degree....is a residency required to work at an ambulatory care clinic?

Sure do not know but just wanted to tell you that you have picked one of the greatest professions. My pharmacist is who I contact more than my doctors when it comes to meds. Please study hard and remember all that you can about every med. Your customers depend on you so much. Good luck

To be competitive, you'll need a residency for almost any clinical position.
