Is it just a money-maker for the college?

Absolutely not...well, maybe except for the English classes...math?...hell, no...I went through four years of that bs when I was in high school...the rest of it...yeah, I think it would be nice if we could bypass the non-degree-specific classes... they're just a waste of time and money...

i've got been a teach to somebody on your situation, different than that she grew to become into plenty older than you, and with a suitable diagnosis. She were attempting plenty longer than you. She could no longer get around the requirement and he or she grew to become into surprisingly desperate for help. grew to become out that it grew to become right into a actual concern, frequently because of the fact math is taught as math. Upon digging and refusing to take "i don't be responsive to the thank you to try this" as an answer, I found out that the concern grew to become into in fact taking it as math. rather of coaching her the way math is often taught, I taught it as though it have been a philosophy classification, because of the fact easily math is easily concept and philosophy, and computation is a side-notice for application. as quickly as I used this mindset, in many cases the lectures took longer because of the fact each and everything took off on a philosophical tangent, yet she continually got here off being waiting to compute what we had lengthy gone over even 2 weeks later. Sorry, dyslexic pupils are no longer medically incapable of passing an English course. i be responsive to many dyslexics who made it via English basically fantastic with a splash help from spell-checkers/correctors. in case you may count extensive style, understand the belief of numbers, and are waiting to punch numbers and emblems right into a sturdy calculator (like a TI-89, which has a symbolic solver -- it somewhat is, put in "resolve(x^2+2x+a million=0,x)" and it will inform you x=a million) then you definately can bypass a math classification. i do no longer think of having a suitable diagnosis for dyscalculia or suing the faculty will help you out in any respect in existence. If destiny potential employers discover out approximately it, they'll positioned you on the tip of the line of individuals they had be prepared to think approximately. you would be extra advantageous off basically going with out the degree than dealing with the complication of suing the faculty.
