Frankly speaking, it all happened too early. Don't know whether because of the lack of knowledge or otherwise but now be brave and cope with whatever you have on your platter.
Try something out of schedule and this will ease the tension that a kid generates. Leave the child with a friend or relative or if you can afford then with a babysitter even.
If the child has grown up a bit then you can even plan an extended weekend with beau (with or without the child).
Hope, you have got the cue (routine is what makes the life boring).
AND there is nothing to hate. Sympathy is a more appropriate word here - specially for the kid, but you will surely grow up.

I agree you should ask her to marry you. Talk about spicing things up! Nothing is more sexy to a woman than true commitment!
Regardless of that decision, if you're committed to this relationship, I agree with the one who said you need a date night. You need a chance to concentrate on your relationship. With all the tough responsibilities of parenthood thrust in your lap so young, you really never have the chance to just be together. I bet there's somebody who would be willing to watch the kid at least long enough for you to go to a movie or something.
good luck!

Marry her!!!
You have a kid!
Marry the kid's mama!
Nothing is sexier than taking responsibility.
Besides, you would have to get a divorce anyway if you split up... cohabiting for 3 years makes you common-law married. You might as well get the piece of paper so she can have more protection under the law.
If you got into a big accident right now, and wound up on life support with a head full of guacamole, the only people who can speak for you (or pull the plug) are your wife and your parents. The common-law wife doesn't qualify in this situation.

If you love each other---it is good to concentrate on the two of you. Find a babysitter and make every Friday your date night out. Priorize this. This will show your youngster that the two of you love each other and need adult time alone together. He will eventually emulate that in his future relationships. Remember how you live is more important than what you say.
