There are only two, each reminds me of a previous girlfriend.
If I hear "So Far Away," by Staind
or
"David Duchovny (Why won't you love me?)," by Bree Sharp.
I will cry. The latter I'm unlikely to hear, as it's rather obscure. The Staind song still comes on the radio from time to time, though, and I either have to change the station or leave wherever it is that it's playing.
And there are certainly other songs that make ones think of the same people...but these are the only ones that actually make me that sad.
Unlike what you see on television, though, these songs were not playing as I was being dumped.

Let her fly by Dolly Parton. The song was played at my moms funeral. Here's the lyrics:
There's a wreath on the door
She don't live here no more
As of today, she flew home
And we all gathered here
In sorrow and tears
It won't be the same with her gone
There's a place on the hill
That's peaceful and still
Where she'll sleep beside daddy again
The ole' family tree is shedding its leaves
But we'll all met in Heaven again
Chorus:
Oh, she's an angel
Let her fly, let her fly
She's gone home to glory
To her home in the sky
When God sees her comin'
Heaven's choir will smile
And sing, "Oh she's an angel, let her fly, let her fly
Ooh, she's an angel, let her fly"
She used to rock me when I was a child
Sing "Rock of Ages" and "In The Sweet Bye And Bye"
Her life wasn't easy, oh but how hard she tried
You know she's an angel, Lord, so let her fly

Actually there is a song we sing in church. It is called Bow the Knee and basically it says,
" Bow the knee trust the heart of the father when the answer goes beyond what you can see. Bow the knee, turn your eyes t'ward Heaven and believe the one that holds eternity. When you don't understand the purpose of His plan, in the presence of your King, Bow the Knee."
It was a hard song to sing, we sang it this past Sunday and that Saturday my dad called to tell me that Gramma passed away that afternoon. :(
It was just a tough thing for me to swallow. Even though my Gramma was 94 she was fit as a fiddle and didn't have a single health problem.
So needless to say while singing that song up in the Choir I had tears streaming. But I need to "trust the father when the answer goes beyond what you can see."

"When I Go Down" by Relient K. I love that song, and it's sad because it reminds me of what I've lost, that I'm small and insignificant in the grander view. Also, "Shijitsu no Uta" by Do as Infinity is sad, the way it's played, the scenes shown while it's played (ending theme to InuYasha), and the voice that sings it. "Have I told You Lately that I love You?" because I want to feel more loved, and the piano sort of adds.

there's a song called 'Slide Away' by Michael Hutchence. Bono sings a few lines at the end of the song that almost always makes me cry because he wrote and recorded it after Michael died... it's a GREAT song!

Have yu ever heard of Isaiac Hayes. ? His version of "By the time i get to Phoenix" is sooooooooo moving. He's so broken. You feel like his heart is just aching & you have his pain! He lives somewhere around here, have yu seen him?
& also, George Jones, old song * (( though i dont care a lot for his music in general) "He stopped loving her today"
cause he dies.................

a christian song.....................
Victory in Jesus.
because he gave his life for you, me and all mankind so we could live.
when i think about that love he has for me!!! for a sinner like me!! all the bad i've done is forgiven because i have repented from my sins and confessed him in front of man.
his faith was so great and his pain before death so aweful.
i think about him carrying that cross while he was beaten and spit on........i think about a sinless man hanging there with nails driven in his hands simply so we could be forgiven our sins, i think about how he could have gotten out and away without any pain...........he didn't he simply said " forgive them father fore they know not what they do "
many other songs we sing in church are touching and heart felt, but i give god the glory for all good things that happen for me.
i even endure the trials of the devil but as long as i stay faithful to our lord his rewards are just and plentiful. not to mention more than a sinner like me could ever deserve.
I have victory in jesus.............if anyone would like to try to have a feeling for this song too but have a hard time understanding faith please read the book of JOB........he was faithful, he was rewarded many times over for his losses to saintan.though he surely had deep hurt from his losses........his faith also gave him the ability to go on a humble man, proof that if we are faithful to him he will not give us more than we can handle.

Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy (NOT Sting's version) It's not the words really, it's just that the tone of her voice sounds so empathetic to me.
That and The Gift by Aselin Debison, but that is DEFINATELY because of the words. :)
