Right before I quit my job, I want to make a point against all the crap I have taken at a company where we the employees feel abused as I do and we are there because the job market is getting to be so bad. If I point out the injustices can the company retaliate against me legally?

If everything you say is the truth, or your honest opinion, then no.

Of course, when your next prospective employer calls them for a reference they will probably say "Oh no, we would never consider re-hiring him again."

That's also perfectly legal..... and the virtual kiss of death to getting a decent new job.

Be bigger than them. Write a resignation letter that simply says something like "I feel it is time for me to seek new opportunities in another company or field" and leave it at that.

There are informal ways they can retaliate, considering that you feel they have already been abusive to employees. You may not need a letter of recommendation for your next job, but they can informally put the word out that you were a bad employee (their opinion). If you know of any illegal practices they are engaged in, that could be reported to the proper authorities. Otherwise, just hold your head high and leave with your dignity intact. Maybe you will set a good example for your soon-to-be-former coworkers to do likewise.

He is not going to "retaliate". Is gay marriage the only sin which God places above all other sins ? I think not. Sin is sin and God gives all humans the right to be wrong. In general, God has appointed a time when He will send Jesus back to earth to deal with the issue of mankind and his ignorance [having little or no knowledge of] God and His ways. God is in the saving business - not the punishment business or we all would be eradicated by now. You, most definitely have some very bad theology.

Oh, yes! They can retaliate!
This has happened. You get settled in your new job. A few months later, your ex boss goes job hunting.
One day, you are called in to HR, and they want to introduce you to a new employee who will be your boss. There is a BIG smile on his face, and he says " What a surprise it is to see you here!"

You'd better leave your old job with class.

You can do whatever you want, but if you want a 'good' reference you probably shouldn't put anything in writing.

As it stands now, any future employers can call and ask about you. If they only have their opinions, they can't express them. If they have a printout of your BS, they can show them.

Find another job and get over the hostilities.

of course they will and can but if what you are saying is the truth and you can backed it up with some documents and witness that can stand in the court of law and that you think you have been done injustice and this is the only way you can have your day in court then so be it.

Even if what you say is true...you might be blacklisted.
