I seriously predict them or the Pittsburgh Pirates to win it! They got some of the best outfielders and some of the best batters.

Is it possible for these two teams to play each other in the World Series? If yes then I see these two great teams going.

If the Nationals win the World Series in 2008, my reaction will be comparable to the reaction Macaulay Culkin had in Home Alone.

They can't play the Pirates in the World Series since they both play in the National League. The World Series is always a National League team vs an American League team.

There is virtually no chance either of those two teams are going to win it. Neither team has very good pitching, and they cannot play each other in the World Series because they are both teams in the National League.

Even with the fielders and batters, you forgot about pitching...something neither team has. The nationals and the pirates are going nowhere fast.

I think pigs will fly before a team like the Nationals, Pirates, Royals or Rays win anything significant. Not if these teams continue their current ways. They need better management.

Honestly,my reaction would be that Baseball is the Greatest sport in the World.Every Spring every team has a Dream and that Dream is Winning the WS,and we as sports Fans can speculate as much as we want, but we really don't know what will happen in the year of our Lord 2008.So heres to all those teams with all those Dreams ,may next year be your year.Cause this ones mine.

That would be the end of me - the Nat's win the series before the Phils?!
We count on the Nat's and the Fish to keep us in at least third - - - there would be no joy in mudville.
The Pirates - perhaps, but no time soon. As proven by our Phils this year - it takes more than bats and outfield (or even infield) it takes PITCHING!

Hey, when Sinatra is right, he is right. Pigs flying would be slightly less of a shock.
Manny Acta is actually a pretty smart manager, one who does not fear new stats and new thinking.
But they were dead last in league batting last season, lower half in pitching, bottom third in fielding...Young might be their best player, but he is a bit old to build a team around.
Stranger things have happened, although off the top of my head they are hard to remember.

no chance...The nationals have no pitching, I mean shawn hill showed flashes, but he was hurt a lot, and theres no free agent that they could bring in to change that, aside from ryan zimmerman they really dont have any proven bats, i'd like to see dmitri young hit .330 again, the nats have a way to go

Good way to inaugurate a new ballpark.

And, I would hope, a taste of justice for 1994, if fans in Montreal are looking on.
