how can it bring a new age of prosperity when everyone knows that it will break our government , and when they realize that when it cant be paid for they start cutting out coverage , and old people and smokers and no liver transplant if you had a drink 49 years ago in college,
social security already has bankrupted the government its now at the point that if you turn 65 today you cant collect till 66.3 months , and it keeps going up each month , they are broken promises before they are ever made
your government is lying to you
its 2 failed party's pushing one failed agenda, today's politicians are promising everything because they wont be in power when it comes time to pay and when the real facts come to fruition.
no one can take better care of you than you , time to get off your asses and pay your own way there will be tuff days , there will be weeks when you don't get to go out each night or even one night that week, but guess what that's life.
vote Ron Paul and vote 3rd party's where you can

Hillary used to be a Republican so I think she is really a centrist. I'm not really looking forward to universal health care either. I would rather they held hearings to see why our health care is so expensive and deal with it from that avenue. It may never get through the house.
She definitely would not end free enterprise. Democrats will just put back some of the regulations or very similar ones that were in place when Bill Clinton or most previous democrats had in place to prevent things like the credit crisis, and poison toys, food, etc., from coming into the country, etc. I would welcome that. I think she will push hard for new forms of energy.
I don't understand why people think she would be dictatorial. I think she is just a centrist democrat who would work well with the House and Senate. That is what I gather from what she has said in the debates anyway. She also would no doubt try to undo the tax cuts for the rich, although, they aren't supposed to go as high as they were before the tax cuts.
I have read some really bad comments about her tonight especially. I don't know where they come up with their information, but in reading about her past and listening to the debates, I have trouble agreeing with those bad comments. I would like to see Joe Biden get the nomination but not because I think Hillary is a communist.

Its not a plan of socialized medicine -- its the Romney plan from Massachusetts on a national scale.
You are obviously listening to the far right wing who wants to paint the Democratic agenda as a socialist agenda. Ask a European or a Canadian if what Hillary is proposing qualifies as socialist. Heck, ask Move On and the DFA what they think about Hillary. Stop the fear-mongering and name calling and lets talk about the merits of these proposals.
Should insurance companies be allowed to exclude the people who most need health insurance from coverage?
Should you and I have to pay extra money to doctors to cover those who refuse to get health insurance?
Should everyone be able to purchase health insurance at group rates or should that be a benefit limited to those who work for the biggest corporations or the government?
Why do we mandate auto insurance but not health insurance?
If we are going to mandate the purchase of health insurance, should any income groups get subsidies to help them afford health insurance? If we do, how will we pay for those subsidies?
Those are the issues posed by Hillary's health care proposal.

No indeed, you are NOT looking at this the wrong way. An honest look into Hillary's past public records show that she is a socialist/communist......and her goals are to take away our control over our own lives. Remember "It Takes A Village" ? Hillary does not think we, the people, have enough intelligence to run our own lives. Her plans will absolutely take our nation lower than ever.....voters, beware.

Any health care plan from the federal level will be a drain on our society. For example, take a look at how the government runs our school system... we have some of the poorest test results in the world. It would be best if we passed laws that encouraged competition among the health insurance and drug companies. Competition between corporations is always good for the consumer. It keeps the prices down, and the corporations accountable.

Do you mean that she will take away the freedom to buy prescription drugs that are sold at a 3000% mark-up? Lipitor costs 2 cents per tablet to make and many people pay over $3.00 each. So our government outlaws going to Canada where these same drugs can be bought cheaper. The pharmacuetical companies are robbng us while our government looks the other way. Our healthcare system is the most expensive in the World and much of this is caused by greed.

Yes you are looking at this the wrong way. Hillary is not advocating any such restraints on your freedom. Take the health care plan you mention. For most Americans thier health insurance will not change. Many more will be offered MORE choice.

Nope. I don't think anyone has that much power. How can offering to help people who can't afford medical care bankrupt the country? Having millions of people who aren't getting medical care is more dangerous. It means the only time they get medical help is for a crisis and we all know crisis care is WAAAY more expensive than preventative care. It's pretty outrageous that a country as large and basically prosperous has so many people who can't pay for normal, basic health care.

As a Canadian, I think socialized medicine is an amazing thing...I also think that it is quite sad that so many Americans die or suffer because they can't afford basic medical care. As for the people who are concerned about tax increases...don't you think a few more dollars a month is a little better than the thousands of dollars you may have to pay if you do get sick? And about the "long waiting periods"....if you are seriously sick or injured, you don't have to wait, you only wait if your condition is non life threatening.
