He stands for what Republicans used to stand for. Now it just seems like the "Pre-emptive Party" when it comes to the issues. What happened to Republicans?

And why is it when someone (In any party) has a different take on something, they are bashed and called names? When exactly did it become unpopular to have different views in politics?

Its been a good while since the Republican Party stood for the Ron Paul agenda -- probably you have to go back to Alf Landon for a candidate who ran on that agenda, if not further. Heck, today, Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan would be considered liberal Republicans.

If you want to know what went wrong with the Republican Party, read American Theocracy by Kevin Phillips (the person who originally devised the Republican "Southern Strategy" back in the late 1960s and now deeply regrets the effect of that move on the political positions of the Republican Party).

If those are the sole 2 you think of are Republicans, you won't comprehend what Republicans are. Ron Paul replaced right into a libertarian till he known the political expediency of working as a Republican. i'm going to need a source approximately Bob Dole, because of the fact i did not comprehend this.

id say no not unless all of Americas government is outdated, because a small but very vocal part took over the party for 8 years doesn't mean a thing, it takes more than 2 elections to control a party.

Gary B you need to update yourself on the new rhetoric you anti Paul spamers are using. America first is not isolationism, bringing back troops from over 150 country's is not isolationism, its cutting our expenditures so we don't screw our children all the way through to their grandchildren.

a belief in infinite growth in a finite world is the doctrine of a cancer cell, and the neocons are America's newest cancer

Hopefully his traditional Republican views can defeat the neocons.

The "pre-emptive" party is a very good subtitle for the neocon party.

"When exactly did it become unpopular to have different views in politics?"

It is common among the Bush Republicans.

They drank the Kool Aid and somehow think Iraq is the frontline of the war on terror.

I would think that would be Saudi Arabia, no wait, Bush can't attack his friends

Liberals went crazy
Republicans inherited the non crazy liberals and it moved our party to the left.
That is whyt loseing in 2006 was such a great thing. We are thining the heard of the dead weight. Trimming off the fat. Cutting away the cancer.
NO MORE NATION BUILDING. No more Liberal Pandering. Nuclear Power and energy independence. No more trade deficits. No more social programs
No more republicans using the government to push agenda and buisness.

I don't think that its that he's outdated or others are outdated... I think it's just that he's seen as a loose cannon. He wants to do all these drastic things regardless of consequences (or so it seems).

He probably does have the countries best interests in mind... he's just a little too anxious is all.

Take a look at Huckabee. He has somewhat similar views (with exception of foreign policy), but he's not painted in the same light as Paul.

The Republicans have been radicalized by Neo-Conservatives and their agendas in conjunction with the conservative Christian right.

The new Republicans are about power and control and the imposition of their brand of America.

True Republican values run counter to this behavior.

Ron Paul is an American hero... end of story. Speculate all you want, you won't find any other candidate with a PLAN (none of them have a plan at all) and a VOTING RECORD that's insanely good!

Wake up and smell the starbucks man... Big Business and the Media is taking over, and we need to at LEAST take our government back

God bless America
God bless the constitution
GOD BLESS RON PAUL!!!
