Sometimes it is hard to find the baby's hearbeat when they are so little...but either way the doctor would have told you what was going on and advised you if you were having a miscarriage.
I would just assume that whatever the doctor said is correct, since they actually got to look and do the tests and everyone here is just on the internet with a limited amount of information.

Hey... dun worry eh.. :) Usually some gynae will not measure the heartbeat until its about 2 months or even 3 months later in some countries, as the feotus is still tiny, hard to measure the heartbeat. As long as gynae says ok, everything is fine. As now you are only 6 weeks, relax and be calm. Try not to walk too much for the 1st 3 months since u have some spotting. Have more bedrest.

Oh dont worry sweetie! I am 5 months pregnant right now and when i went for my first ultrasound i was 6 weeks and the stupid nurse said she couldn't even see the baby and sac. she had me believing i was having an ectopic pregnancy which is where the baby is in your tubes, anyway, another doctor looked at it and the sac was there.and im now pregnant with a baby girl : ) it just may mean that you aren't as far long as they thought. or maybe you are 6 weeks and its just not showing yet. i wouldnt worry though, everything will be perfectly fine! : ) Good luck && Congratulations mommy to be. : )
**also if you have questions and concerns my doctor told me that it would be best to write down all of my questions as i thought of them if it was before my appt.. from now on when you think about them write them down on a sheet of paper and take them with you to your prenatal appts that way you can ask YOUR doctor and he can tell you judging by your medical history.**

At six weeks it may be too soon to see a heartbeat. Some spotting is normal in the first few months of pregnancy so don't worry about that. I am sure everything is ok. Congrats!

No heartbeat yet. It's sometime after 7 weeks where you can finally see it. Talk to your doctor so you always know exactly what it going on. Ask a lot of questions. I'm 18 weeks pregnant with #2 and ask my doctor any question I want an answer to. She's great. That's why she is there.

You are certainly at the stage where you can detect a heart beat, but don't worry just yet. A visible heart beat can be seen at six weeks via using ultrasound, but in some cases it's not. The majority of the time the heart beat will be detected at seven weeks.

I think its too soon to tell, and plus the doctor would have said something if anything was wrong.
