In a way you can say yes but this is perpetuated by the Bush administration by fear mongering. It is in their interest that you live in fear so you do not care about domestic issues like insurance for the children or crumbling bridges. We spend 11 billion dollars a month in Iraq alone not counting Afghanistan. We are borrowing that money to spend and there is interest on that money borrowed as well. Imaging what we can do with 11 billion a month in repairing bridges, investing in education, health care, etc. Oh, how about upgrading the nation's air traffic control system or upgrading our border security?

Not this American! I don't live in fear of 9/11 or even another attack. Because our brave men and women are over in the middle east keeping the murderin' bastards busy. As soon as we bring our troops home they will come over here and try it again.
As for who's next that depends on what Iran and Korea do to provoke us.
We don't want to conquer the world. If we did we would have done it immediately after world war 2. when the entire world was beaten to a pulp. We could have easly taken out Russia, China and the rest of the world because we were the only ones at that time that had nukes at our disposal. So to all you anti-Americans out there we don't want to conquer the world we just want there to be peace when all is said and done.
and I don't really care if you agree with me or not.
My opinion.

I can only speak for myself. Yes, I would. I don't want to be this way. But yeah I'm scared of everything and I am not nearly as brave as I was when I was younger. Also, I have kids now. I know that should mean that we stand up more so that they have their freedoms. Unfortunately I am weak and I put their immediate safety ahead of long term goals. Besides, when things happen during the last 8 years, like the passing of the so called Patriot Act, I tried, a lot of us tried to do something. But if you remember anyone who didn't go along with whatever Bush wanted was thought of as Unpatriotic, Un-American, UnChristian, I mean look what happened to the Dixie Chicks for goodness sakes. They were in danger, their families were in danger and they only said that one little line. I have restaurants that my husband had built out of nothing for 15 years, people would have stopped coming and we would have lost everything, how could we have supported our children ? Our employees would lose their jobs, at the time that was about 150 people. Yes, you are right, of course. But I can decide to sacrifice, but I can't ask my husband and children to sacrifice.

Given a chance, you look like a worthwhile battle, but to answer your question. Yes, it is still out of Americans reach to understand why anyone or any other group would want to attack the United States, or even have reason to do so. It is this naive quality Americans have toward the world that keeps us in the dark as to what others are thinking and feeling about us.

Yes and no. People are much more aware now that there are people who will take your life without a moment's notice. We're also much more aware of the struggles facing not only our little part of the world but the ones across the ocean. I think we were much more blind before as a nation. But I'd like to think that most people have moved on and are trying to live life as much as possible. For now.

Not under fear, in fact some politicans joke about it now. Biden on Rudy. It is doubtful that there will be any more boots on the ground in different countries, but cruise missles from the sky into Damascus and Tehran. I hope for peace.

A lot of us are not as stupid as you think.

Yes, we're still afraid; because the terrrorists haven't been caught! Six years later and they haven't even been identified!

A majority of us know we've been lied to about 911.

A bigger majority of us know Iraq was a huge mistake and want the war to end.

"Who is next?"

They talk about Iran, but they know they can't because Russia and China will retaliate.

Now they're talking about Pakistan. Crazy.

They're crazy and they don't have the support of the American people. Their term is up in January 09 and hopefully, we'll get a sane, competent Executive and Legistative Branch.

Probably only the ones who were affected directly by it. My prediction is that George Bush will attack Iran before his term is up. If the conspiracy theory is true that he was responsible for the attack for his own financial gain, you can be sure of it. I have heard he is a member of a secret society that call themselves the skull and bones, and that their entire goal is to take over the worlds financial system, and develope a new world order. I don't know if it is true, but some evidence points towards it being true. ;-)

we don't live in fear, we fear the unexpected, and what has happened to us has only made us stronger as a country. We have united and become stronger. we will stop taking when we have stopped being threatened along with the rest of the world.

yes but not from the middle east.. I am very fearful that the U.S. elite will take over much like the English did, which is why most ran away from England to search for freedom from political tyrants.
