Irregular periods can start at any time during a woman's menses...even from the get-go. I've never had regular periods. At times I've gone 2 or 3 months without a period (even before I ever had sex), and other times in my life I've been as regular as clockwork. In hindsight, I've wondered if some of those longer stretches were miscarriages of pregnancies I didn't even know about. If you suspect you're pregnant, take a home pregnancy test. If your periods have become irregular as of late (and never were before this time period), talk to your doctor. You could have an infection or be anemic or be exercising and dieting in such a way that it has affected your cycle. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor. And start keeping track of your cycle. Doctors love hard data.
If you have irregular periods, it's a lot harder to know whether you're pregnant. But if you're having regular, unprotected sex and you miss your period for a couple of months, take a pregnancy test just to make sure. One way to make periods regular is to go on a birth-control pill. Their hormones regulate your body better. Girls can get periods at increasingly young ages

There are numerous reasons for period irregularities; too many to list. You should make an appt to see your Dr soon. Depending on the reason, she may want to put you on birth control to regulate your cycle. It's probably nothing to worry about, but you shouldnt ignore irregular periods.

Your avatar looks like a guy so I would straighten that out if you are a girl....if you are an athlete or underweight it is not unusual to have long periods between them however, it is not normal to have them as scarce as you do........no sweat, see a gynecologist and she will run blood tests and probably an ultrasound to see if your ovaries are producing eggs like they are supposed to.....they may want to put you on the pill to regulate your period.....just to get you prepared......but all fixable medically.

well it depends, how old are you? if you're just coming into your periods then that's totally normal. But if you're older say like 20-40 then you could have a hormone imbalance or you could have a cyst. I had one and it threw my periods off all the time. See you're gynecologist and if you don't have one-get one. If you're old enough to have a period, you're old enough to see the dr.

If you haven't had a period that long, (as in started it within a couple years ago) its normal. If you have been this way for longer than that, I would see a doctor.

you dont have a problem its normal for girls to have irregular periods the first couple years.
if you still think other wise, then go to the doctors, or gynecologist and talk to them about it.
