I'll be brief. Great Grandmother, hospitalised for about 5 years, (94), furry lip, the works. Went to kiss her goodbye on the cheek. She turns towards me, tongue poking out (in concentration?,lips meet. I have tasted my great grans tongue. Anyone else suffered a similar fate? LOL!

I "suffered" a similar experience and was understanding. Get over it. The woman's 94, probably suffering from a bit of senile dementia, probably not even knowing for sure who you were and thinking maybe it was a former husband, or quite possibly only licking her lips when it all happened. She's your great grandmother, and you love her and she loves you, and a mistaken tongue kiss shouldn't change your feelings for her or her feelings for you. And never forget, you may someday be living at 94 and your great grandson or daughter leans down to accept a peck on the cheek and for whatever reason, you stick your tongue out. Would you want that person to be grossed out because he/she happened to touch your tongue? I hope not. No matter what happened with that one kiss, she's your great grandmother, she loved you, you loved her, and a tongue sticking out should never change that. What you experienced wasn't a gross moment. It was a loving moment. And believe me, at her age and yours, she wasn't trying to get into your pants. And you don't have to remember her by one stupid tongue "kiss." Just let it go, and love her, as she loves you. And by the way, most of the people who answered this are probably in their teens or barely above, and their emotional responses show clearly in their answers. Get over the "gross" aspects of this--and ignore the young, inexperienced, never-having-lived in a life that encompasses the elderly or trying to come to terms with being elderly themselves. They all need to grow up, and sooner or later they will. Don't trash your grandmother just because you and your peers can't understand it due primarily to age. Live a few more years and then think about it.

LOL no thankfully! Feel sorry for you, though. I remember when I was in 2nd Grade, my class had a sub teacher with a really hairy lip. We all called her the Man Lady because of her fuzz. Hahaha hopefully you won't have to have such a thing happen again?

AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
omg thankfully NO!

BUT i do have a nasty scarring experience. when i was about 15, my great uncle came to stay with us for a bit. now, uncle roland is about 8 trillion years old so needless to say is a wrinkly old liver spotted man. he also had a part of his face removed due to diabetes problems. so hes missing an eye and theres a gaping hole in his face. BUT he ALWAYS wears this prothstetic half-face thing so u dont get lost in the hole on his face.

WELL good ol uncle roland got to stay in my room. after letting him sleep till like noon i finally went in there to find my naked uncle roland sleeping in my bed without his prothstetic face. and i HAD to go over to him and wake him cause i was worried he might have gone into shock or something from his diabetes. so YEAH thats disturbed me for life. youre not alone!

No, but there was a news story a few weeks ago about a guy that got arrested for having sex with the corpse of a 90 year old woman in a hospital.

I'm sure it was an accident and it may seem gross and everything now, but someday you may be willing to do anything to kiss your Grandmother (minus the tongue,of course) again. I know i would :(

No, I can't say that I have...I will admit that my first reaction upon reading this was to bust out laughing, but seriously, I know it may have felt weird, but she's your great grandmother, and am sure she loves you dearly. I am also sure it was not her intention to make you feel weird or "gross you out."

EEEEWWWWW YUCKIE POO.
I'm gonna hurl.
That's almost as nasty as when I woke up and one of my ferrets were licking my balls. Had to make it stop. Would be hard to explain to a ER nurse or MD how I got bit there if it bit me.
