Have you ever notice that every year around this time the media comes up with some bogus survey about how much money consumers will spend this holiday season. The media is just brainwashing people to send money.

I think they want to pretend this country isn't in trouble. If people spend a lot of money they can say that we are doing well. They don't look to see how much is charged on credit cards that people can't really afford.

Well if you follow each dollar that is spent during the christmas season, it gets passed from consumer to company, to employees/shareholders, back to companies, etc. etc. etc. Basically spending a lot of money during the Holidays fuels the job market. Especially if you spend it on things that are made in the US (and encourage all of your friends outside the US to be US goods as well).
