Did the Houston Oilers slip back into the AFC South to make it five teams??? Just kidding but the AFC South is a very good division this year.

It's never happened over a full season as far as I can see, but there are a couple of years where it was close. In the 1981 NL Central, there was a 9-7, two 8-8s, a 7-9 and a 6-10. Same with the AL East in 1987, where Indy was 9-6, NE and Miami 8-7, Buffalo 7-8 and the Jets 6-9.

I just think it's cool how the AFC South suddenly has five teams.
