Only mammalian RBC are devoid of nucleus after they are differentiated.The nucleus is expelled because it is no longer required by a cell whose job is well defined and that too for a short period.

Cells can't be too big because they weaken, and the nucleus takes up a lot of space. The cells just have their DNA swimming around in their cytoplasm so they have more room to carry more oxygen.

not all animals are having their blood cells without nucleus. only mammals have this facility. loss of nuclues decreases the volume of the blood cell and so in a unit blood, more no of red blood cells can get packed., this simply means that a unit volume of blood can carry more oxygen. that's why only mammalian RBCs lack nucleus. it is also having advantage that the smaller the blood cells, they can move rapidally move in the cappilaries.

there is no point to having a nucleus because red blood cells do not need to divide. Also, to decrease the mass of the cell allowing it a bigger surface area to carry oxygen.

So that they are able to carry oxygen more easily, nuclei take up room.
