Apparently the GB packers are under investigation for.......

Seems that players can't offer incentives to their own team members for certain accomplishments. I can see the headlines now "GB's defense is not as good as they seem because the linebackers are paying their own linemen $500 as an incentive."

If GB won the SB would they be considered cheaters and taint the whole season?

I'm a Packer fan. I was making light of the situation. I just find it to be one of those silly rules. But somebody made a good point about putting a bounty on the QB.

It's not a big deal to me, but I understand why the rule exists. Ideas like the one the Packers used are pretty harmless, but it's a slippery slope. What's to stop another team from putting a bounty on injuring a QB or knocking a guy out of a game?
Again, not a huge deal in this case but certainly something they have to keep under control.

it should be illegal and is apparently.
if someone on a d-line wants incentives its shouldnt come from his other players. this is almost like gambling. if you want extra money for holding a team or player under 100 yards rushing why dont they just put it in their huge contracts they sign.
their is some thing known as bonuses and incentives put in a contract. it shouldnt come from players.
i wonder what the league is gonna do about this. it is constituted as "cheating" right.

I know, that is a little ridiculous honestly how the heck is that supposed to effect the game? These guys are making millions of dollars a season like 500 bucks is really going to effect them that much. Not saying it is right or anything, but I honestly can't see it being that big of an issue.

This is about a waste of time for the NFL. Who cares if one player is offering his own money to another player for doing something good.

They get incentives for making playoffs and other stuff (ie. rushing for over 1,200 yards). I don't see why they shouldn't get incentives for holding AD for under 100 yards. Players work hard to be great but work harder to get paid lots of money.

Seems bogus to me. NFL players make so much money that $500 isn't even worth bending over to pick up if you drop it.
