In some cases yes but why would you want to.......not only that in a high speed chase/pursuit you could either: 1 crash the car and hurt somebody; 2. crash the car and kill somebody and possiblely yourself 3.if you crash your car and survive you will regret running from the law and 4 if you dont out run the cops and they catch you then you will be in so much trouble and get a great big fine and maybe go to jail or perhapes you will get both. So what I am saying is that if the cops ask you to pull over then you pull over and face the music. THE END!!!

You would have a better chance of outrunning the law if you lived in a smaller city. Los Angeles, your toast. In Delta Colorado, absolutely possible to do. When you are raised in a small town, you get to learn all the little hideouts in your area as you grow up which comes in handy when the law is closing in on you. Kinda like growing up in Mayberry.

Yup....because I can go places they cannot. If I'm in one of the 4X4's, head for a place called "The Diversion."

Very sandy soil....cop cars bog down in a heartbeat. In the off chance they are in their one and only 4X4, "The Diversion" is where water from the Snake River is diverted for farmers. Can you say mud? Can you say DEEEEP mud?

If that cop 4X4 does not follow me EXACTLY, he's going to be swallowed into a mud hole up to his windows. Diversion also backs up to the Indian Reservation, so way easy to get away, and "lost" out there.

This actually happens ever single year, a couple times a year. Underaged teenagers love to go to the Diversion and have bonfires, party and drink. The cops come out and try to catch people....generally ends up looking like some hillarious scene from the Dukes of Hazzard as teens bail to all their 4X4's and take off in all sorts of dirrections. Cops almost never catch anyone, and usually end up getting stuck in the mud, and then pulled out by the experienced adult mud boggers (like my husband).

However I'm so boringly law abiding, I have no need to try and run from cops. Personally I prefer to fly under the radar, than ever get noticed by the cops.

Of course the cops are stuck if I'm on one of my other "vehicles" too. Yeah, that's right..."on". Horses can go anywhere...places that are not remotely available to cops in, or on vehicles. My horses are trained to be very bold, more like police horses. I take them over all kinds of weird obstacles. I can also ride, and control them without a bridle. Doesn't leave anyone much to grab onto. ~lol~ Not going to be a really high speed chase, but certainly VERY entertaining. Can't immagine what criminal activity I'd ever do though, to take a chance of endangering on of my horses.

My late husband was killed when a drunk decided to run from the law because he didn't want to go back to jail. The drunk ran a red light and crashed into Brian and killed him. If he would have pulled over, Brian might still be alive, the drunk would have only had to go badk to jail on a parole violation. Instead, the drunk is facing life in prison for murder.
I do hope that those of you who want to run to test yourself, reconsider the odds and see that it isn't worth it. Just pull over and take the ticket. It's not only safer, but it may keep someone alive.

You can't outrun a radio. That goes at lightspeed. The cops just kinda call ahead, you know?

No, I'd probably end up on COPS, they'd PIT me after riding on my rims for 20 miles or so and I'd run across the highway naked until they tazered me in the buttocks.

Depends on where I'm at. I wouldn't ever run but you can get away on city streets. My dad did one time when we was in a stolen car (some parent hunh?) and he went fast, turned some corners, and lost him.

No, I think it is idiotic to do it, no matter how "naughty" you have been, too many people, innocent people get killed or maimed based on the stupidity of others behind the wheel, why add to it?

People have, but more often than not they are apprehended somewhere down the line.

Best just to pull over.

Peace.
