In my culture a virgin is like a MUST. So, that makes for a big problem for me considering that I did horseback riding, swimming (as a result of which I had to use tampons.) I have not used tampons in two years and have generally abstained from sports for the last two years. Is there any chance that it may not be broken or that I may still bleed during my first time? Can bleeding occur even IF the hymen is broken? Is there any other way that the other person will be able to know that I am a virgin? Sorry if I sound stupid with some of my questions.

if your partner is knowledgeable and understanding enough,then thats good news.
but yea i feel you.but that doesnt mean u have to abstain from your activities.
its normal for hymen to tear when you indulge in sports activities. other ways to prove you virgin is the tightness that your partner feels during the first time.dont worry.

The hymen can break just by doing sports activities, like horseback riding, or even from tampon use. But even if it's broken, that doesn't mean you're not a virgin. If you're really that concerned about it, you can get a surgery procedure that basically sews in a new hymen, but do you really want to spend that kind of money on something that noone will even ever see?
If you have an issue or fear about your hymen, you need to talk to your doctor.

The sports that you've played and the tampons you've used are only going to stretch your hymen. I used to use tampons and I thought that my hymen was broken but, I was wrong. I switched to a menstrual cup which is much larger than a tampon and that broke my hymen (it started bleeding - and it wasn't my period). The hymen is very stretchy and a tampon is nothing compared to a man's penis. If you're worried about it you can check up with a gynecologist who can tell you what's happening. If your hymen staying intact is that important to you then you might be interested in doing the hymen re-entactment surgery. I saw a program about it on TV about this lady who valued her hymen staying intact for marriage but, was raped. She couldn't tell her family about it because she would be killed (part of her religion or something?) so she came to the US and had it done secretly. It was on Dr. 90210 if you're interested. there are plastic surgery docs that can make you a new one, if you're that concerned.. big time in LA. and it's really not that big of a surgery. very popular among certain cultures and foreign exchange students.

You are absolutely OK. Your husband will know that you are a virgin if he is a virgin himself. Your God will be with you, just don't worry and be happy.

there is a very minor surgical procedure to repair the hymen - outpatient surgery, if you are THAT worried.
