As you might have noticed from the way he's invoked, Reagan's legacy has generally been good for the party. Nixon certainly hurt the /presidency/ more than Bush II (or indeed, any other president besides Clinton).

The wrong-headed 'War on Terror,' and botched Iraq War is what's really hurt the party, and, yes, a lot of the blame for that can be placed on Dubya, though, really, without authorization from Congress, he'd have never had enough rope to hang himself and his party.

And people criticize Clinton for voting for the war.

Most here will say Bush 2, but it is really Reagan. Here we are 20 years later and all the republicans want to be is another Reagan. The party has turned him into a demigod and no one can possibly live up to the image, not even Reagan himself. Until they get past their love affair with him, like trying to get him on the dime, naming everything after him, he will be a drag on the party.

Bush 2. Nixon was not a bad president, but he got caught doing what most politicans do, cheat. As for Bush Senior he should have told the UN to screw off and taken out Saddaam, then we wouldn't be in this mess.

Too early to tell what ultimate effect Bush II presidency will have on the country. Ask this question in 5-10 years.

Did you have a bad day today? You seem to be in quite a mood!

Bush 2. He is, by design I am guessing, an insincere stooge of someone pulling his strings.

Damage the party?? I vote none.
Reagan is the role model of the Republican party. Nixon was 33+ years ago. I am not sure have many people don't vote republican because of Nixon.
Bush 2? He has more than his share of "F" ups. IF Iraq somehow turns out favorably, perhaps history will look more favorably than we look at him now.

Nixon & Reagan because they created a monster named Hilliam .
Bush corrected his mistakes. Clinton's remove them.
* she was a nice young crazy pro marxist Republican from HS to college then she met bad guys! OF course Jimmy Carter and Legal Corp $$... Reagan investigated her back when 1977-8.
