Halo 3?? I'm not sure about that one. Halo 3 and the Halo series may be one of the best selling game franchises, but it's not the best video game. Basically, without the online gameplay for Halo many Xbox gamers probably wouldn't even care that much about it.
For me, the best game games ever made is God of War, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Shadow of the Colossus. These 3 games that I just listed don't even have online play and they are known around the world for being some of the best games ever made.

It depends what your into- whether its nintendo, party, racing, family ect.
In my opinion i think the Zelda series is excellent- the graphics and sound and everything.
I also enjoy Mario Party series, just coz its for the whole family.
I agree the Halos are fantastic as well.
