started high school and was curious if it was normal if someon got a hard on in the showers

Its a common question, but most people find that they are so nervous about showering with everyone else that they actually never have it happen to them. If your really worried about it, just make sure there is a towell on hand, and that if you sense it comming on you can grab it and move away without much notice.
Honestly though, everyone is thinking the same thing, and it rarely actually happens, despite just about everyone being worried about it.

yep - it is common for one or more guys to get erect in the showers. Firstly, puberty causes erections to occur for almost no reason at all sometimes and the shower could just be the place a spontaneous erection happens. Or, it may be th eguy is nervous about being naked and/or concentrating on his nudity thus inducing an erection. Of course his nervousness is probably from worry over getting an erection so he is in fact worrying himself into the state he is worrying about. And another reason is if the guy si soaping up a littl etoo vigourously and just the physical contact gets him a little aroused. And then there's the guy standing there with nice warm water flowing down his body while he is daydreaming about the gal he dated last night or is dating tonight; mere mental stimulation is often enough to make a penis erect.
So, unless the guy comes right out and says why he is erect, assume nothing. One rule though is to try not to stare. A brief look is fine but starign is not polite. And if you are compelled to say anythign, try to keep it lighthearted and complimentary; don't want to insult or hurt anyone.

I recall a guy in 8th grade gym class got an erection in the shower. He just walked around to his locker and got dressed.

It could definatley happen but it is much like an erection at the doctors or in front of you parents, it is not likely going to happen because you are so nervous. A ***** is a blessing and you could even show off your package to your friends if you were bigger then them!

it can happen anywhere 4 no reason sometimes. thats one of the worse spots
