They have paranoia about "socialism" or the "vast left-wing conspiracy" or the "liberal media" or "class warfare." Are Conservative Republicans Just Paranoid About Everything?

fear is a way of life for them. they wouldn't feel right if they didn't have some enemy that was out to ruin everything they believe in - the enemy can be communism, atheists, muslims, liberals or whatever - as long as they have something or someone to project their fear onto so that they don't have to take a good look inside themselves.

Unfortunately, politically shrewd politicians like Rove and Cheney can play these folks like violins and over the last seven years have conditioned them to wet their pants every time they hear the word "terrorist" - thus ensuring they will remain obedient to the right-wing fearmongers.

We Conservatives joke about the "vast left-wing conspiracy." It's a joke because it's the Democrats, namely one Hillary Clinton that invented the term "vast Right-Wing Conspiracy." It's a joke son, don't you get it???

Are we paranoid about ever increasing socialism? Heck ya. Look at the USA Communist party's agenda from earlier this century. Most of it is now law! And it's only getting worse incrementally.

Why shouldn't we be paranoid about the liberal media? It's a bunch of lefties who love nothing better to do than attack the GOP and most especially Bush! I damn near dropped my coffee when I read in the NY Times that something good is actually happening in Iraq. I guess they couldn't hide that news any longer!

Are we paranoid about class warfare? Sure. You get idiots like John Edwards, who are uber-wealthy, and who never did a damn thing for the poor while a US Senator, and now wants to obtain power on a platform of "screw the rich." And if there's one thing we've learned about liberals, when it comes to taxing the rich, damn near any middle income family is suddenly "rich."

I asked this last week in response to a question. What makes you a top contributor, sheer volume? I ask because you are not asking a rational question but instead making a political statement. First, you assume paranoia on the part of conservatives when you have no facts to back you up. Then you state "conservative republicans" as a collective whole, when they are vastly differering group with wide ranging thoughts and policies. Then you name off a number of issues or groups that the conservatives are supposedly paranoid about, when in truth, you don't know that any or every or nothing the bulk of republicans say or think of these issues or groups is factual or not. Perhaps you are the one that is paranoid?

Gee I seem to recall Godess Hillary using the term "vast Right-Wing conspiracy" to describe the reporting to her husband's inappropriate affairs with the staff. Anybody with one good eye and more than two functining brain cells can see that MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, and even CNN are at least a little left of center. In a recent survey that I read about (I don't recall where) 1000 journalism students were asked why they want to enter the field of journalism. The overwelming response? "I want to make a difference." Their job is to report other people making a difference.
I do believe that the VP is paranoid, but not "ALL." That would be like saying that ALL liberals are stupid just because Jimmy Carter and Al Gore are.

No we are not, we recognize a threat when we see it and have the courage to do something about it. Not like some who saw the growing threat of Osama and decided if they ignored it he would go away. And the phrase "vast RIGHT wing conspiracy" was coined by a Liberal, by one that is running for president. So who is really the paranoid ones?

Given the track record of the left and liberals, add in the danger of terrorists...it's not paranoia, it's called a call to arms in defense of out freedom.

Libs like to ridicule our stand, but...they never have dealt with reality and facts very well ! And logic...a foreign concept to them !

republicans see things hoa they really are and not how they might be. That is the answer plain and simple. We dont want more government, we want less the only thing that scares us is the trend that is happening to our society. More welfare, more social programs, more lazy lower class not working and supporting themselves and waiting every month for their welfar check, dems arent scared because they want it to get worse, more money for them provided by the conservatives who are out there working and getting things done rather than oversseeing how to spend money on uselessgovernment progarms.
