Hedwig. Loosing Moody was bad as he could have been a serious help to Harry, Ron, and Hermione before they set off on their adventure. Lupin's loss was bad because he was Harry's last real link to his parents, particularly his father. Loosing Tonks was bad as she was such a fun character. Lupin and Tonks together were bad because you're left with another Harry. But at least Teddy had his grandmother, his godfather, and plenty of folks who loved and cared for him unlike Harry. And loosing Fred was bad cause all the Weasleys were particularly a surrogate family to Harry. So it was like Harry lost a brother.

But Hedwig was a lot more than just Harry's link to the magical world. She was practically like family for him nearly his entire life since he learned he was a wizard. There were times she'd seem to me like a sister to Harry, both older and younger, times when she was like a mother hen. While at the Dursley's Harry usually had her to keep him company during those dark days. Her death was what really signalled that the whole of the last book was going to be much darker than the first six. And it was also like saying it's time to give up childhood for Harry.

1. Moody was a hard blow for Harry and the Order. I almost wished I was at The Burrow drinking a fire whiskey to Moody.

2. Harry hardest personal loses, IMO, was Hedwig and Dobby. I think because these are the innocent lost.

People were dying left right and center and that's the wages of war. A painful lesson learned by everyone who lost.

most definately snape..and then prob dobby..
i cried sooooooo much wen we found out the truth abt snape... it was sooo sad. snape would probably be the best character in the whole series. You never really knew who is was or what side he was on... he is by far the best and biggest lost in the book.
dobby was sad...how his final act was saving harry...soo sad..

1. Dobby
2. Lupin ( he was my hero! I loved Lupin, he was so cool and was the only family he was really connected to)
3. Snape ( I hate the guy but it was cool that he helped Harry in a way)

ME! just kidding, I sort of disagree with questions like this in general since, Rowling I'm sure had her reasons for killing of the characters she did. One of those reasons was to demonstrate the harshness of war, it's unpredictable and people die. However I'd say either Tonks or Remus, it's very depressing that Teddy has to grow up with neither of his parents.

i think it was lupin, cuz he was the last real person that was close to james and someone with whom harry could actually talk with, despite that argument
