Primarily because domestic violence is often done by one partner against another who loves them in spite of the violence and because there is no problem that can not be resolved without violence by talking and deciding if a relationship can be saved or a divorce is called for.

Any sort of violence is horrible. Domestic violence is worse because you are violated by someone you are supposed to be able to trust. Afte the violent episode ends, things never return to normal for the victim, they sit around wondering when they will get attacked again. You are unable to feel safe in your own home.

My understanding of domestic violence is the beating up of one by the other. In 95% of the cases it is man beating a woman. In the other 5% it is woman shooting man. There is no reason for the stronger to beat up the weaker. Much is caused by drink and uncontrollable temper. One has to be pretty stupid to resort to violence.

domestic violence is up there with gang violence, child abuse and rape as one of the most appalling things that humans can do... domestic violence isnt just a man attacking a woman, its also a woman attacking a man. we have no right to hurt another, unless in self defence

Violence against anyone is wrong. That is no different if you are in a relationship with that person. No one has the right to hurt you, nor do you have the right to hurt them. Someone you love should be nurturing, kind, and respectful to you and that never involves hitting or verbal abuse. It is a crime.

It dehumanizes its victims. It also shows a lack of respect for life and other people. It brings great suffering to those who are on the receiving end! It is against all that brings good to others. And don't forget...It is a CRIME!

Because you got together with your domestic partner because you love them. Hitting/beating them does not show your love, it shows that you should not have started the relationship in the first place

Because why the hell would you beat your spouse, it's idiotic and barbaric, if you're the one being beaten in a relationship, get the hell out, I don't care if you say you love them or even mean it, they don't love you no matter what they say, if you love someone, you don't hurt them. If you're the one doing the beating, you have a problem and you need help.

any violence is against my morals because I think anger is your problem not the next guys and you should never result to physically harming someone unless it is for self-defense.
