I don't and I'd venture to guess, most people have no idea what socialism is, except its the new dirty word. In as much as most don't know what communism is, but to call a person a communist is akin to calling their mother a (bleep).

Look up the word socialism, then try to tell me that the USA will become socialistic under both of them, when right now we have socialism. We have socialism with our police and fire services, court system, garbage collection, schools, post office, even some power grids in some cities are socialistic. Socialism and capitalism exist side by side with our cities infrastructure.

Here is what I wrote about socialism that is needed in the USA

Some people comment on how many will fight for the unborn, yet not for the people once they are born. That is not altogether true. I have also found that many of those that will fight for the unborn will fight against universal health care for the mother so she has a better chance of having a healthy baby.

I find so many contradictions when it comes to health care in this country that it baffles me.

For instance, right now we have universal health care. Our military has it, as well as our federal leadership gets to use one of the best bastions of that, the Bethesda Naval Hospital. Yet those same leaders spend enough money for several universal health care systems through pork barrel politics and our belief we should be the worlds policemen. All while they get Universal Health Care. All of that to the privileged while we have our military, in vary strengths, be it from embassy protection to wars, in 135 countries. Plus, here is the real kicker, through war funding; both Iraq and Afghanistan have universal health care, provided by us.

I am truly baffled by how many contradictions our people allow.

====================
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense,

promote the general welfare,

and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
==============

Promote the general welfare..........there you have it, our military and our federal leaders welfare, along with welfare for those we are at war with, but not OUR OWN PEOPLE.

Do you really need a more compelling argument why Universal Health Care should be a right, not a privilege for a few, especially our leaders?

===========
Why is it that all that claim Universal Health Care is a failure and results in long delays, no service, are taking these accounts 2nd hand, yet consistently those that experience Universal Health Care usually say the opposite?

Makes one wonder just who they are listening too and who is spewing the propaganda. Could it be the ones that will not benefit from Universal Health Care, like the insurance companies and fat cats?

where are the issues in your argument? What do you base this nonsense on? As if the GOP candidates are any better? The U.S is sinking under the GOP leadership and the Bush adminsitration while you are comfortable living off your mommy and daddy for now. And, you're worried about Obama and Hilary? Please. The U.S, home of the free and the brave, was over once the neo-cons took it over in 2000. Now it's "America, home of the fearful and paranoid." I'm ready to get my country back from the dementors who took the white house in 2000. I am ready for a change in a positive direction and positive language which either one of those 2 candidates will at least provide to some degree. Im not voting for Hillary, I'm voting for Edwards or Kucinich for a real change that we need. ONe that is positive for all of us and not just those with vast amounts of wealth stashed in the Caymans.

Just the end of our economy. Prices are shooting thru the roof now. What'll you think will happen if a tax happy Dem gets in there? Barak Hussein Obama is too wet behind the ears to do any good. And call me a chauvenist pig, but I don't want a woman of any party in charge of our military.
Our country will go to pot if Guiliani gets it..a Republican that believes in abortion and gun control? America ain't as screwed up as NYC. Well, most of it isn't. LA, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston...alot of our major cities, and some small ones, need an extreme makeover.
But America will survive because Americans are strong. Despite our differences, this is still the best country in the world.

NOt me. Only the right-wing think that. And, in a sense, they are right. The reign of terror of the right wing--along with its neglet o fAmericans, immoral war, religious bigotry and racial hate--will be at an end.

That's the nightmare they call America. But for the rest fo us--for the 90% of REAL Americans who are not disloyal to our Constitution or our values and traditions, the election of Hillary or Obama will signal the BEST of America--a country in which, step by step, we move toward a faireer, more just society where anyone--regardless of gender, race, background--can be FREE to rise as far as his/her ability wil take them.

That is America--the real America. The right-wing vison is not America--and tey are not Americans.

United States of America has survived 43 Presidents now, some of them serving multiple terms. If you have that little faith in America, that you think she can't survive several more, maybe you should be living somewhere you have more faith in!

Yeah, and the current president elected is fantastic. Funny you talk about Clinton and Obama with the republican candidates as crappy as heck, and an even crappier current administration.

Get a clue...
