We have made CDs of our favorite songs, pillow cases with words written in bleach pen, rice bags, beaded book marks. Would like something new that is lightweight and inexpensive (it gets put in with the other gifts).

What about putting clip art to use in a different way?
–You can make a Christmas stocking from 1) cloth and iron the clip art on by first printing on transfer paper 2) you can also make paper stockings as gift packets for flat items (like your bead bookmarks and candy canes)
–The same clip art can also be ironed onto a cute Christmas bottle bib. I don't know if you have a sewing machine.
– Or iron clip art onto inexpensive plain storebought serviettes –white or light color. (Like at Ikea)
–Then you can also use the clipart to print out matching serviette rings from paper
–Add some tree decorations (print clip art on cardstock) and tie on pretty ribbon to round things off. Gingham ribbon always looks nice and Christmassy. Ditto for the bottle bib.
–The decorations can also be in the form of a scent sachet in e.g. a heart shape. You can sew this by hand and
add some potpourri before you close up the last inch of the seam. A little scent goes a long way, so the sachets need not be bulky.
–Print your own chocolate wrappers for flat 1.55 oz bars and personalize them.

All these items will be light to post.
Hope it gives you some ideas.
