and range and what is the answer for the x int in a decimal

Well, 3^x is always positive, and 3^(6-x) will grow very large for x < 6, and it will shrink asymptotically toward 0 as x gets bigger than 6. The -2 subtracts all that from 16, so as x decreases past 6, y plunges toward -∞, and as x increases beyond 6, y approaches 16 asymptotically from below. So domain is all Real, range is (-∞,16).
