Technically, there are 365 1/4 days in the year.
However, usually (using the solar calendar) non-leap years have 365 days and leap years have 366 days.

365 unless it's a leap year, in which case it's 366. A leap year occurs about once every four years, 97 out of 400 years to be exact. A leap year occurs if the year is divisible by 4, but if the year is divisible by 100, it must also be divisible by 400 for it to be a leap year.

365.25 days technically but we do it different.

365 days
Leap year every 4 adds Feb 29
Every 100 years (on the century) the Leap year is not.
Every four hundred years,- skip that rule, so 1900 was not a leap year, but 2000 was, 2100 will not be but 2400 will be.

Occasionally the NRO and the ISO agree to add a leap second or so to time, as the Earth's rotation changes slightly naturally.

As far as days of the month, I had a great teacher in 3rd grade who taught us a SIMPLE rule, which covers the arcane end of month problem!

Put your two fists together (thumbs in), From left to right,
each knuckle and each furrow between your fingers represents a month, starting from your left pinky,

Left Pinky Knuckle // January // 31
Pinky Furrow // February // 28
Left Ring Finger Knuckle // March // 31

It even works for July / August which both have 31 in their months.

Every "Knuckle Month" ends in 31
Every "Furrow Month" ends in 30
Except February which ends in 28 except on a leap year.

Never have needed to worry about that since.

30 days has September,
April, June and November,
All the rest have 31,
Excepting February alone.
Which has 28 days clear
And 29 in each leap year
