Usually after the first Iowa Caucus most of the less popular candidates drop out. The Iowa Caucus is January 3, 2008. I sort of think this is silly. I don't know why this country lets a Midwestern state determine their future. From some reason, candidates believe if they don't do well in the Caucus, they can't win over the whole country. So basically all the other states have to hope that Iowa gets it right. I think it will probably be Romney and Clinton going against each other. George Washington warned against a two party system, yet we continue to stick with it.

Unless a Hillary sex tape surfaces, she's a shoe-in. But Giuliani - I don't think he'll get the nomination.

He's got high negatives and he's a socially liberal cross-dresser - not your typical Republican fare. Plus, all of the other Republican candidates are splitting the "socially conservative" vote. As candidates start dropping out all of those social conservatives will go to anyone but Giuliani - regardless of what Pat Robertson does!

I'm guessing Romney will get the nomination, but Huckabee has an outside shot but he's gaining traction a little bit late given the sheer amount of early primaries. But Giuliani - toast by mid February.

Judging from the last election, John Dean was expected to win the nomination. Instead Kerry won it. He wasn't that high in the polls. Go figure. I think people just get sick of the front runners. They pick them apart for so long before the primaries and the conventions are held that when people actually go to vote, their whole thinking process changes. Maybe it will be between Joe Biden and Ron Paul. Who knows? You can't really count anybody out yet.

I am praying that never happens. It sounds like my worst nightmare.
The primaries have to happen first, they vary by state. Contact your local board of elections (usually by county in the phone book), and find out which party you are registered for and when and where you should vote. Research the candidates for yourself. MS-NBC has a "matrix" which lists many of the candidates from each party and their views on various issues. Plus, you can see how other people feel. I find both of the above mentioned very creepy for various reasons, not the least of which is personal integrity. I think Ron Paul is the only one who can lead us out of the quagmire that has become our country.

The Dems choose their Candidate in the primaries while the Republicans choose theirs.

Then the two go at it in the Gen election.

May not be Rudy. Conservatives don't like him and the Republican party is supposed to be conservative.

Rudolph Giuliani is still fighting for his life while Senator Clinton is breezing through to the White House.

If the Republicans do elect Rudolph they will "go head to head" but Hillary will quickly put the poor boy to bed.

They will not go head to head. At least not as Presidential candidates.

My hope is that people will take an honest look at Fred Thompson. To do that, please visit www.Fred08.com.

Fred Thompson is a consistent conservative. The planks of his campaign reflect his inner beliefs. He takes a stand against illegal immigration, and he will work towards further protecting our country from terrorists. That is so very important since the radical Islamic extremists still want to kill all the infidels (that's U.S. in case you were wondering)

Fred Thompson believes in the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman. He also believes life begins at conception - and so works to save the unborn children of our country.

Fred Thompson is a Federalist. If you do not know what that means, go to his website and read his papers and watch his speeches. He believes in smaller government, states' rights, and smaller government spending.

I live in Tennessee and I am proud to say former Senator Fred Thompson is from Tennessee. (I could not say that about the last Presidential hopeful from our state.)

It's not over until it's over. Obama is now beating Hillary in the polls in Iowa. So Hillary is no longer a definite shoe-in for the Dems.

After the primaries, Clinton and Giuliani will be the remaining candidates because they best represent their respective parties.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.
